About
The group DarkSun was born in 2002 from the split of the group Nörthwind. The bet was very strong: DarkSun’s first album was recorded at the VPS studios in Germany with Ingo Cjavkoski (Rage) and mixed at House of Music Studios with Aichm Köhler (Primal Fear, Sinner). He also had the collaboration of Kiko Loureiro (Angra). The critics did not stop to pray and left “El Legado” as one of the best national albums of the year and Darksun as one of the great revelations.
The sequel was recorded during the summer of 2005 again by Ingo Cjavkoski in Germany, with the help of Lars Ratz (Metalium), Dennis Ward (Angra, PC 69) and with the collaboration of Peavy Wagner (Rage) singing in the song “Prisoners of Fate” from which a video clip was made. Once again, the critics gave in to Darksun, describing this album, “The Dark Side” as a masterpiece of national metal.
“The Dark Side” has been released also in English as “The Dark Side”, released in 2007 by FC Metal Recordings. Darksun has collaborated with Rage in his album “Speak of the Death” for the bonus track version of the song “Fullmoon” adapting the lyrics to Spanish. After closing the “El Lado Oscuro Tour” with more than 25 dates all over Spain and sharing the stage with bands like Motorhead, Darksun releases its third studio album, “Libera me”.
