About
Dark the Suns is a Melodic Death/Gothic Metal band formed in 2005 in Jyväskylä, Finland. It consisted of Mikko Ojala (guitar, vocals), Inka Tuomaala (bass, keyboards), Eliisa Vainio (keyboards, vocals), Mikael Saalasti (percussion).
Founded as a solo project by vocalist and guitarist Mikko Ojala in 2005, they started releasing demos in 2005 and 2006 called Sleeping Beauty and In Darkness Comes Beauty respectively. In 2007 they released their first album In Darkness Comes Beauty once Dark the Suns became a full band. Between 2007 and 2008 they played local gigs and a small tour in May 2008. Some line-up changes occurred, including drummer Eino Kauppila and keyboardist Pinja Haikala replacing Markus Lehtinen and Juha Kokkonen respectively. In 2009, Markus Lehtinen and Juha Kokkonen would return as drummer and second guitarist respectively.
