About
El Cuervo de Poe is an Alternative Gothic Metal band, originally from Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. The band was formed in May 2004 with Oscar Muro (Drums) and Vicente Márquez (Guitar) as its initiators.
In 2005 they recorded their first material DEMO in Cubo Estudios, with Daniella Lazzeri on vocals, David Martínez on electric bass and Juan Antonia Paez, as co-producer. At the end of this year Jerrel Shaw joins the band as violinist. And after several line-up changes, by the end of the year, the recording of the debut album begins, with Julia Gaos as the new vocalist.
In June 2007 the album “Vox Corvus: La Voz del Cuervo” is released independently and only in Mexico, however, thanks to the internet the album was downloaded in countries like Colombia, Venezuela, United States and more, releasing the material again in 2008 and having it available for digital sale. Julia Gaos is released. And in 2009 two songs are recorded in DEMO format with Brenda Gaviño as the definitive voice of the group, also Richie Part is integrated as second guitar. In January 2010 the band is nominated for the FEMALE METAL AWARDS and Ernie Martinez (who recorded the first demo) returns on violin.
