United Alive Review

The setlist is very good. You won’t have every single hit single, but the best of is pretty much covered between both the Kiske and Deris eras. Should have given more attention to “The Dark Ride”, but I don’t think Weiki liked that album too much, so there you go. Other than that, I would have included more from “Better Than Raw”, as well. But at least “I Can” is here. That’s the main thing. 8.5/10.

The performance is well done. No real issues there. I think they probably did the material justice just in time. Both singers are in their early 50s now. Anything later and you can’t hit the high notes anymore. 8.5/10.

The sound quality and mix is very good. Not perfect, because sometimes the vocals get a bit lost in the mix, but the output levels are near studio quality. No major issues. 8.5/10.

I will say too, kudos to the band for getting all the major players involved- current and past. I think Eddie Van Halen could have learned something from this (not that he would care) and also KISS’s Paul Stan
